He was last seen in the Las Vegas company of The Lion King, playing the role of Mufasa. Broadway: Wicked (Fiyero), Aida, Swing! National tours: Wicked, Aida, Smokey Joe’s Cafe. TV: guest star on “Homeland,” “Chicago Med,” “Mysteries of Laura,” “Person of Interest,” “Heart of Dixie,” “Numb3rs,” “Ghost Whisperer” and “Chappelle’s Show.” Derrick can also be seen in several commercials that include Twix, McDonalds, Walmart, Sling and Toyota to name a few. Jordan Matthew Brown is overjoyed to be returning to The Book of Mormon on Broadway as Elder Cunningham after playing the role on the National Tour up until the pandemic. Recent credits include Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors (Kansas City Rep), William Barfée in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (George Street Playhouse), Motel in Fiddler on the Roof (North Shore Music Theatre), and Jack in Into the Woods (alongside Betsy Wolfe and Tony Yazbeck).
